An Evening of Prayer, Mercy, and Fellowship for Young Adults at San Fernando Cathedral Young adulthood holds no shortage of questions. Career decisions, relationships, family, vocation, faith. The pace of daily life rarely offers the stillness needed to hear the answers that matter most. Worship on the River is an evening designed for young adults who are ready to step out of the noise and into something real. For over a decade, young adults across the archdiocese have gathered for this simple rhythm of prayer, sacrament, and community. Now held quarterly at San Fernando Cathedral, the spiritual heart of our city, each gathering is built around three pillars of the Catholic faith. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament opens the evening. Within the walls of the historic cathedral, young adults are invited to sit in the presence of Christ with no agenda and no expectation other than honesty before God. Opportunities for silent prayer are accompanied by moments of live music to help lift your voice in praise. Whether you are discerning a major life decision or simply seeking a moment of peace, Adoration creates the conditions for hearing what the noise of daily life so often drowns out. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available throughout Adoration for anyone who wishes to receive it. Confession is not about judgment. It is about encountering a God whose mercy runs deeper than anything we could bring to it. Whether it has been a week or a decade, you are welcome. Community fellowship follows, as young adults gather for a light meal and conversation. This is where strangers become friends and where the isolation that so many young adults carry begins to lose its grip. Faith was never meant to be lived alone.
