For churches

What’s Up Church helps people find what is happening at churches across Texas, Portland and Vancouver, WA. We list public events from church websites, public calendars (iCal) and event pages, and always link back to the original page.

About OpenDoorsBot

• Our crawler identifies itself as OpenDoorsBot and links to this page.
• It only reads public pages. It never logs in, never bypasses CAPTCHAs or access controls, and never fills in forms.
• It checks robots.txt before every crawl and skips anything disallowed. It honours Crawl-delay and otherwise waits several seconds between requests to the same site.
• It visits an events page a few times a week at most.

Stop or correct a listing

• To block the crawler, add User-agent: OpenDoorsBot and Disallow: / to your robots.txt.
• To have your church removed, or an event corrected, email hello@example.com.
