Copyright and takedown (DMCA)

Our policy

What’s Up Church respects copyright. Churches can upload logos and photos, and event listings may show images from the church’s own public website. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, tell us and we will remove it quickly.

We remove material in response to valid notices, and we close the accounts of people who repeatedly upload infringing material.

How to send a notice

Send a written notice to our copyright agent (below) that includes:

1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for them.

2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.

3. The address (URL) of the page on this site showing the material, so we can find it.

4. Your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.

5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.

6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.

Counter-notice

If your upload was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send our agent a counter-notice with: your signature; a description of what was removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any district where we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the original notice.

We will forward it to the person who sent the notice and may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
