Poverty Awareness Month

During Poverty Awareness Month, join the U.S. Bishops, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, and the Catholic community in the United States in taking up Pope Leo’s challenge to live in solidarity with the poor! The USCCB website has informative resources to help you and your community learn more about poverty, including daily reflections for the month of January. In 2025, Pope Leo released his first apostolic exhortation, Dilexi Te (I Have Loved You). This exhortation focuses on Christ’s love for the poor and the call for the Church to renew its commitment to those most in need.
