Laurelville Middle School Retreat '26
Hosted by First Presbyterian Church
About
We're excited to be going back to Laurelville to join a few other youth groups from across the area for our annual fall retreat! It's a great opportunity for students to deepen their relationship with God and with one another.
It is a 2 night retreat beginning Friday evening and ending Sunday afternoon. Any students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to sign up and come with us!
The total cost is $150 per student and that covers everything they'll need while there. The deadline to register is Thursday, October 22nd. (*if it says there is a waitlist, it means I am waiting to hear back from them about adding more spots - if you join the waitlist, I will let you know if the space is available once I hear back from them)
Timing:
• We will plan to meet at the church at 5pm on Friday (please come having eaten dinner)
• Please check in with me or another leader before leaving on Friday so that we can make sure we have everything
• The goal is to be back at the church at about 2pm on Sunday - we will let you know if we are running early or late getting back.
Paperwork:
• You will have to fill out some forms from Pittsburgh Kids Foundation (the organization that runs this retreat). I will send out more information about that once you register.
Packing List
• See the attached packing list for a helpful list of what to bring this weekend
• Just a few things I wanted to highlight from that:
• Don't bring phones (or smartwatches) - Please have your student leave their phones at home, we will not be allowing any students to bring their phones with them this weekend (we will give parents a list of leader's numbers and they will have yours in case of emergency)
• Also note that if your student wants to go in the mud pit, they recommend bringing some layers of clothes that you don't care much about
