Carter Blood Drive
Hosted by Good Shepherd Catholic Community Church
About
Did you know it takes less than an hour to become a lifesaver for local patients? Each unit of donated whole blood can be separated into red blood cells, platelets, and plasma; these lifesaving blood components are then used to treat three Texans in urgent need of transfusions.
All blood types are needed, especially O negative – the universal blood type used to treat any patient, including premature and unborn babies – and platelets, which are vital during surgeries and cancer treatments.
Visit gscc.net/blooddrive to sign up for an appointment and receive a beach towel when you donate!
