All are invited to join us for our next series: Was Jesus Serious? The Difficult Parables, Teachings, and Sayings of Jesus. In this study, we will seriously consider Jesus’ most difficult words in an attempt to understand and apply them, without lessening their demands. If we take Jesus seriously, he’ll overturn our way of living. Jesus spoke to the people in beautiful parables and beatitudes to encourage and comfort them, but every teaching challenged every listener. Sometimes Jesus spoke words that his disciples - then and now - found difficult; yet they represent the expectations he has for those who would dare to follow him.
