SUMMARY:Wednesday Night Discipleship
LOCATION:Kennesaw\, GA
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday nights are a great time to refocus in the middle of t
he week by joining with other believers to study God’s Word through an i
n-depth discipleship course taught by one of our many gifted teachers. For
more information on Wednesday Night Discipleship\, please contact the chu
rch office or email our Discipleship Pastor\, Ryan O'Kelly at ryan.okelly@
kennesawfirst.church. We would love to connect with you! Beginning August
12th\, new Fall Discipleship courses will kick off at 6:30pm. These course
s will include: Above All Else: Proverbs 4:23...”Above all else\, guard
your heart\, for everything you do flows from it." What does the Bible hav
e to say about mental health\, anxiety\, depression\, and experiencing Chr
ist's peace in an anxious world? Together we'll explore God's design for o
ur minds and emotions\, why caring for our mental and emotional health is
part of faithful discipleship\, and discover practical\, biblical skills a
nd habits to experience Christ's peace for ourselves and become wiser\, mo
re compassionate companions to those facing mental and emotional struggles
. Led by Deanna Davis. Meet in Room 306. The Gospel On The Ground: Come al
ong with biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland as she unpacks the life of
the early church in the book of Acts and shows us that the kingdom of God
is always on the move\, always looking outward to bring meaning and joy to
a world searching for true fulfillment and hope. Explore the call of Jesu
s to His disciples then and to us today. See how God's Word can sustain us
even in the most difficult of times and embrace the transformative grace
we experience as children of God in His kingdom of celebration. Led by Jan
Fowler. Meet in Room 339. Titus Ten: This book is a manual for becoming t
he kind of man God intends for you to be\, and leading other men to do the
same. Taking ten qualities from the Apostle Paul's short letter to his me
ntee Titus\, The Titus Ten will help you grow in your understanding of the
gospel\, your identity\, your character\, your doctrine\, and more. As yo
u grow in these areas of your life\, you'll become the kind of man God des
ires to use in your family\, your church\, and the world. Led by Ryan O’
Kelly and Jeff Watson. Meet in Room 336. Revelation: Perhaps no other book
of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as Revelatio
 n. Two thousand years ago\, John’s Revelation was circulated and read al
oud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter underst
ood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for y
ou today. Join us as we take a closer look at Revelation and discover how
it speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure t
o the church in every age. Led Dr. J. Perry Fowler. Meet in the Chapel. So
ng of Songs: The Love We Long For: This ancient\, often-misunderstood book
that sometimes reads like a racy romance novel is actually a passionate d
eclaration of our Creator Redeemer's relentless love for His people. Join
us as we peel back the layers of history and allegory to reveal Jesus as t
he Divine Bridegroom who didn't just come to deliver us—He delights in u
s! We'll discover how intimacy with Jesus isn't based on our deservedness
—or lack thereof. Led by Lynn Gordon. Meet in the Fellowship Hall. ALSO
OFFERED: House of Prayer led by Jud Henley (Room 335)\, and the Men’s Bi
ble Study led by Terry Stork and Tom Talley (Room 333). If you have any qu
estions\, please contact Discipleship Pastor\, Ryan O’ Kelly at ryan.oke
