SUMMARY:SVdP Turkey Distro | Life Teen Practicum
LOCATION:Rio Rancho\, NM
DESCRIPTION:For the past several years\, STA Life Teen has been blessed to
participate in this wonderful outreach. The Turkey Distribution has grown
into a tremendous community event\, with many generous volunteers coming t
ogether to help families during the Thanksgiving season.\nAs we look at th
e needs of our community\, our teen leaders have expressed a desire to rea
ch out and serve in other areas where help is also needed. After prayerful
consideration and discussion\, we have decided that STA Life Teen will st
ep away from participating as a group in this year's Turkey Distribution a
nd instead focus our efforts on another community service opportunity.\nOu
r hope is to find a project where more of our teens can serve together\, m
ake a meaningful difference\, and build friendships and camaraderie while
putting their faith into action.\nWhat does this mean for those who have a
lready signed up?\nIf you registered to participate in the Turkey Distribu
tion through Life Teen\, please know that we are working on an alternative
service opportunity for our teens and families.\nWe will be sharing more
information soon\, including details about the new project\, how to partic
ipate\, and any changes to existing sign-ups.\nWe are incredibly grateful
for the example set by our parish's St. Vincent de Paul Society. Their ded
ication to serving the poor and those in need continues to inspire our tee
ns to recognize the needs around them and respond with compassion and gene
rosity.\nThank you for your understanding\, your willingness to serve\, an
d your continued support of our Life Teen ministry. We are excited about t
he opportunity to make a difference together in another area of our commun
ity.\nPlease continue to keep the St. Vincent de Paul Turkey Distribution\
, its volunteers\, and the families they serve in your prayers.\n\nHosted
