SUMMARY:Catholic Social Teachings - Introduction to Laudato Si Action platf
 orm
LOCATION:Colleyville\, TX
DESCRIPTION:Catholic Social Teaching (CST) is the Social Doctrine of the Ch
urch. The scope includes the truth of revelation about human life\, dignit
y\, solidarity\, and principles of justice and peace. We continue to explo
re seven themes and related topics of CST via presentations by Catholic su
bject matter experts with reference to scripture\, Catechism\, encyclicals
\, and other Church documents.\nDuring this presentation\, we will take a
look at the Laudato Si' Action Platform. Inspired by the encyclical publis
hed by Pope Francis in 2015\, this Platform is a tool to help guide our ac
tions as stewards of God’s creation. Join as we explore the goals of Lau
dato Si' and use the Platform to:\n• review suggested and specific creat
ive actions as individuals and families\n• add our own ideas as stewards
of creation\n• build a personal Laudato Si' Action Plan\n\nRegister at
gscc.net/cst. Cost is $10. For those who cannot attend in person\, the pre
sentation will be recorded.\n\nHosted by Good Shepherd Catholic Community
